Last day of camp, awards, Hershey Park

rosalimskya August 20, 2021

The last day of RTC was certainly one to remember. We started off the day with davening, breakfast, chaburas for the older division, and a question and answer session with Rav Aryeh Lebowitz for the younger division. We then had a closing ceremony that started with a raffle for the many boys who attended the Donny Morris z”l learning program before davening. The program continued with an awards ceremony led my Rabbi Jeremy Fine where trophies were handed out to all the championship teams, as well as to other individual award winners. The individual awards included MVP’s, Sportsmanship Awards, and X-Factor Awards. After the award ceremony there was a comedy and improv skit that the madrichim performed with some campers about different aspects of RTC. We then had a delicious lunch consisting of pizza and mozzarella sticks and then departed Spooky Nook for Hershey Park. The boys had a blast at Hershey Park going on rides, playing games, and eating an assortment of treats including Kettle Corn, Dippin’ Dots and Rita’s Ices. After leaving Hershey Park, we davened for Mincha by the busses followed by a dinner of deli sandwiches k’nishes and corn dogs. After dinner, we all loaded the busses one last time and began the journey back to Teaneck and the 5 Towns.
We all had such an amazing time at RTC this summer! We are confident that the relationships that were forged in RTC this summer will continue for many years to come.
