Learning, Scranton RailRiders games, Chopped, swimming, sports, and more!

rosalimskya August 16, 2021

Today started out with davening, and breakfast consisting of bagels and pancakes. We then had chaburas with the madrichim and shiur from Rav Aryeh Lebowitz! After learning, we had a delicious lunch of penne al havodka before loading the busses to go to the Scranton RailRiders game. Shay and Jeb Fields threw out the first pitch because they won the Newly Wed Game on Shabbos afternoon! After an exciting game, the whole camp went onto the field for a picture. After the game, everyone got a Krispy Kreme donut before we went to the Scranton Chabad Center where we played a competitive game of ‘Chopped’, went swimming in the beautiful and heated pool, and had a bbq dinner with chicken, hotdogs, broccoli and rice. Big shoutout to our Camp Mom, Ronit Wenger on organizing and running the “Chopped” Competition. Also, a bIg shoutout to Rabbi Rosalimsky, Corey Fuchs, and Ari Hagler who judged the competition (and risked their lives in the process). We then left the Scranton Chabad Center and went to The Riverfront Sports Complex where we had the first round of playoffs for basketball and football leagues. A fun day was certainly had by all!
